Application fees
In the Home Office fees table most work and study routes are listed as "main applicant and dependants", which means each person pays the same fee. A partner and two children applying with a Skilled Worker (certificate of sponsorship of 3 years or less, applying from inside the UK) pay £943 each.
| Route | Fee for the main applicant and for each dependant |
|---|---|
| Skilled Worker, 3 years or less | £819 outside the UK, £943 inside |
| Skilled Worker, over 3 years | £1,618 outside the UK, £1,865 inside |
| Health and Care Visa, 3 years or less | £324 |
| Global Talent | £766 |
| Student | £558 |
| Graduate | £937 (inside the UK) |
| Partner route | £2,064 outside the UK, £1,407 inside |
| Indefinite leave to remain | £3,226 (inside the UK) |
For the partner route, the partner and spouse page confirms that a dependant added to the application pays the same as the main applicant.
Health surcharge
- Adult dependants (18 or over) pay the same surcharge as the main applicant.
- Children under 18 pay £776 a year.
- Dependants of a student pay the student rate of £776 a year.
- Health and Care Visa workers and their dependants do not pay the surcharge.
- The surcharge is not charged on indefinite leave to remain, so dependants on that application do not pay it either.
Each dependant is charged for the length of their own permission. A dependant who is refused gets their own surcharge back; the main applicant's payment stays in place.
