The amounts are from the Home Office immigration and nationality fees table that took effect on 8 October 2026. Every fee in that table is unchanged from the 8 April 2026 table.
How the total is worked out
- Application fee: one fee per person. For most routes the main applicant and each dependant pay the same amount.
- Immigration Health Surcharge: charged per year of permission, per person, at £1,035 a year (£776 for students, their dependants and children under 18). Part years are explained in how the surcharge works.
- Skilled Worker fees depend on the length of the certificate of sponsorship: 3 years or less, or over 3 years. The Immigration Salary List and Health and Care Visa rows have their own, lower fees.
- A faster decision adds £500 (priority service) or £1,000 (super priority service) for each person.
- Dependants are counted in the adults and children fields. Adult dependants and the main applicant pay the same surcharge rate; children under 18 pay the lower rate.
